Global Communications

What Does Your Company Need to Thrive in Today's Global Economy?

Perhaps your company's greatest potential for growth is outside your home country. As a result, you're concerned about developing future leaders on a global scale, as well as instilling cross-cultural awareness among all your managers.

Or, maybe you're interested in generally broadening the skills of your management team-exposing them to functional business areas beyond their area of specialty, globalizing their business viewpoint beyond a regional focus, and helping them to solve specific internal strategic challenges.

Materials:

Trainees will work from a Course Pack, and supplemental lessons and activities will be provided by the instructor.

Objectives:

At the end of the workshop trainees will be able to:

o Clearly introduce themselves and their companies/sections.

o Participate in meetings

o Give a clear presentation.

o Negotiate effectively

o Write proper e mails

o Socialize with foreigners

Learning/Teaching Methods:

Trainees will actively participate with partners/small groups to complete all assignments and can expect to be involved in speaking with a partner or in a group for approximately eighty percent of the class time. The instructor will act as a facilitator and coach-not as a lecturer - to guide trainees step-by-step through the phases of Global Communications. Homework may be required to practice speaking and to prepare for pair work, role-plays, discussions, simulations and presentations.
